Journey to Elizabeth's, by Rose Datoc Dall, Framed Canvas Prints

Quantity
  • This image is a moment in between the moments. Mary is making the journey of about 80 to 85 miles to the hill country of Judea to see her kinswoman, Elisabeth, who is also with child with John the Baptist. While Mary likely would have traveled with other travelers on this journey, Mary is shown alone in the image to suggest she is alone with her thoughts, surrounded by a field of green, pondering the secret knowledge which she kept in her heart that she would be the Mother of the Savior.
