Bid Me Come Unto Thee, by Rose Datoc Dall (prices $43 - $389)

  • This painting depicts the moment in Matthew 14, just after the disciples beheld the Savior walking on the Sea of Galilee toward their boat. After their initial shock of fright, Peter says,” Lord, if it be thou, bid me come into thee on the water.” Jesus says “Come.” Peter, with great faith, steps out of the boat, eyes locked on the Savior. He took that great leap of faith in the New Testament. The artist chose a unique perspective, emphasizing a distance, agap, which is both physical and perhaps psychological/spiritual. It is the artist's personal commentary about bridging the metaphorical gap of faith.

☞ Loose giclée prints are single sheet prints on either paper or canvas as specified, w/ no matting.

☞ All giclée prints are archival & museum quality. As with all artwork, please keep out of direct sunlight.

☞ Giclée prints on paper are printed on an archival, heavyweight, fine art, cotton rag paper. (It is recommended that prints on paper should be matted & framed behind glass, or stored flat, not rolled.)

☞ Giclée prints on canvas are printed with a suitable border for stretching or mounting, and are sprayed with a semi-gloss protective coating. May be framed without glass.
